Mother ∼ Her parents were Lafayette Columbus Herring and Catherine Utsey Herring. They lived in Choctaw Co. AL until after 1860 and later headed to Texas. Her mother died before they came to Texas. Mary had a sister R.V Herring Martin and 1 brother, William M Herring, and a half brother Graddy Herring.
