Son of John Franklin Hillhouse and Amanda Jane Fletcher Reburial services, with the American Legion to furnish pallbearers, has been scheduled for T/5 Andrew J. Hillhouse, killed in action at Nettuno, Italy, on March 15, 1944. Services will be conducted at the Hassell and Foster Chapel in Athens at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. R.E. Bost, pastor of the West Athens Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in the Malakoff Cemetery. Cpl. Hillhouse was born January 10, 1920 at Trinidad. he attended school at Brownsboro and had lived in Henderson County prior to his enlistment in the Army on March 8, 1942. He had served about two years in an Army Infantry division prior to his death, and about one and one-half years overseas. He was a member of the Cottonwood Baptist Church. Survivors include: five brothers, E.V. Hillhouse and Clarence Hillhouse of Athens, Frank Hillhouse of Houston, Carl Hillhouse of Lamesa and Isiah Hillhouse, now serving in the U.S. Navy; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Anderton and Mrs. Inez Cobb of Athens.
