Theressa Inez Cobb Stuart, age 93, passed away on September 18, 2020 at her home in Athens, Texas. She was born on April 14, 1927 to John Franklin Hillhouse and Amanda Jane (Fletcher) Hillhouse. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and father of her children, M.C. Cobb, husband William Stuart; daughter, Kay Hendrix; son-inlaw, Tom Ingram; granddaughter Kim’s husband, Eddie Miller; daughter-inlaw, Katrenia “Punkie” Torti-Cobb; grandson, Nathan Cobb; brothers Richard Franklin Hillhouse, Eugene V. Debbs Hillhouse, Carl Edwards Hillhouse, Andrew Jackson Hillhouse, John Allen Hillhouse, Alva Clarence (A.C.) Hillhouse, Isaiah Hillhouse and sister Mary Jane (Hillhouse) Anderton. Theressa Inez was a housewife for many years. Later on, she became a greeter at Wal-Mart. She enjoyed crocheting and sewing, in fact she sewed many of her daughter’s clothes while they were growing up. Her greatest accomplishment was being the best Mom anyone could be. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her. Survivors include her daughters, Theressa Cobb Ingram Billups and husband Lloyd, Selida Cobb Carter and husband Gary, Becky Cobb Plummer and husband Ricky; sons, Marvin Lee Cobb and wife Joy, Larry Joe Cobb; 20 grandchildren, Tim Ingram, Kim Ingram Miller, Christi Billups, Doug Carter, Steve Carter, Kathy Carter Falgout, Donna Knight Bass, Dwain Knight, Ashlea Hendrix Wilson, Clifton Cobb, Haley Cobb Smith, Craig Cobb, Brandon Cobb, Kaleta Torti-Cobb, Cynthia Green Scott, Stacy Green Koppen, Daniel Green, Jason Green, Rachael Green, Byron Plummer, 26 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and 1 on the way. Visitation will be 4-7pm, Monday at Autry’s Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Athens City Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Autry’s Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home.
