Vaclav "Jim" Jezek was born May 14, 1932, in West, Texas the son of Vaclav and Annie (VLK) Jezek. He passed away on November 25, 2024, in Palestine, Texas. Jim was a member of County Line Baptist Church and worked for the U. S. Post Office for over 35 years, 3 years as a carrier, and 32 years as a clerk. Jim served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War from 1951-1952. He enjoyed going to the casinos playing the slot machines and 3 card Blackjack. He coached youth baseball, enjoyed golf, and bowling. He loved to spend time with family and especially his grandchildren. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 56 years Opal Jezek; his second wife of 9 years Billie Watson; his sister Ann Couture, and brother Frank Jezek. He is survived by his children, Diane Beatey and husband Joey, Jimmy Jezek and wife Cathy, Darlene Bourque and husband Kevin; sister-in-law Mae Godwin; siblings Mary Jane Soupe, Joey Jezek and wife Chris, Katherine Brown and husband Steve, and Linda Klaus and husband Billy; sister-in-law Rose Jezek; grandchildren Dusty Ledbetter and wife Jessica, Holly Jones and husband Justin, Katy Evans and husband Bryan, Seth Jezek and wife Stephanie, and Haley Jezek and great-grandchildren Alyssa, Leighton, Jocelyn, Jackson, Jayci, Josie, Hudson (Bubba), Cameron, Miles, Lilly, Ruby, Betsy, and Harper.
