HAJEK Mrs. Anton F. Hajek, 65, passed away last Thursday afternoon at her home in south Schuyler, following a second stroke of paralysis. Mrs. Hajek suffered the first stroke the preceding Tuesday. Funeral rites were conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Marek, the Rev. B. A. Filipi of Clarkson officiating. Burial was made in the Schuyler cemetery. Mrs. Hajek's maiden name was Miss Mary Shalon. She was born in Bohemia on December 17, 1867. She came to America when four years of age with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Shalon, who settled on a farm near Linwood. She was united in marriage to Anton F. Hajek at Abie on October 15, 1888. Mr. and Mrs. Hajek resided on a farm in Butler county until 1917 when they moved to Schuyler where they have since made their home. Surviving are the husband, three daughters, Mrs. Anna Rousar of Schuyler, Mrs. Maggie Rousar of Daykin and Mrs. William Teller of Butler county, four sons, James and William, both of Butler county, Anton of Schuyler and Max of Kelso, Washington, two sisters, Mrs. Frank Marek of Schuyler and Mrs. Anna Brim of Dwight, one brother, James Shalon of Linwood, and twelve grand children. ____ col. 5 CARD OF THANKS We wish to express our deep gratitude to the many friends who aided and comforted us with their sympathy and many acts of kindness on the occasion of the death of our beloved wife and mother.
