Bio
Gladys M. Ivy, 87, of Barry Texas, passed away on October 21, 2024, at Baylor Scott & White in Waxahachie Texas. She was born on September 17th, 1937, in Marlin Texas to Harvey and Bernie Martin. She was preceded in death by her husband Woodrow Ivy, daughter Jennifer Ratto, son Ray Unger, daughter Becky Evans, siblings Harvey Junior, Marie, Joe and William, and grandson Jason Unger. Gladys is survived by her son Robert Unger, stepdaughter Maddie Ivy Head a brother Truman Martin and grandchildren Brandon Unger, Brenton Unger, Brian Unger and Matt Unger David Price, Tammy Andrews, Asa Evans, Seth Ratto and Brody Ratto, as well as many great grandchildren and a few great great grandchildren. She served as Chief of Police in Blooming Grove, Texas. She had a passion for flipping real estate and ranching. She loved cooking, sewing, crafts. She loved her animals. She brought laughter and happiness to those she was around. She cherished spending time with her family and teasing her loved ones. Visitation with the family will be held on Monday October 28, 2024, at Griffin Roughton Funeral Home in Fairfield Texas from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by graveside services at Fairfield Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. (Griffin-Roughton FH) Gladys will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
