Bio
Jackie Hailey Vann 86, of Bremond went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at home surrounded by loved ones. Jackie was born to Maxie Henry Hailey and Effie (Craft) Hailey in Tidwell Prairie on July 18, 1936. Jackie married Howard Vann in Houston on October 9, 1954, and had an amazing 68 years of marriage prior to Howard's passing on February 2, 2023. Jackie had several jobs in her lifetime; a waitress in Franklin where she met Howard, a clerk at the City Market in Bremond, and for 25 years she served Robertson County as both Deputy County Treasurer (8yrs) and County Treasurer (17yrs) until her retirement in November of 2006. Jackie loved life, loved to travel, loved her family, and loved spending time with them. She always had the biggest smile on her face listening to everyone laugh and tell stories. She loved to laugh. Jackie was kindhearted, generous, and forgiving; she had a fierce unconditional love for her family and made many sacrifices along the way so her family would not go without. She was a true lady and a wonderful mother and will be greatly missed by many. Jackie was preceded in death by her Parents; husband, Howard; sisters: Louise Hailey, Maxine Meadors, Madel Smith, and Margie Webb; and son, Lane Vann. A visitation will be held on Friday, February 24, 2023, at Bremond Memorial Funeral Home Chapel from 4:00pm - 8:00pm. The funeral will be Saturday, February 25, 2023, at the Grace Methodist Church in Bremond at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Tidwell Prairie Cemetery.
