The Dodge Criterion (Dodge, Nebr.), May 28, 1914, p. 4, col. 2 Mrs. Anna Stecher Mrs. Anna Stecher died at her home in Dodge at 3 o'clock in the afternoon Tuesday, May 19, 1914, at the age of 77 years. She was born in Tuchotic, Austria, Bohemia, in 1837. Her maiden name was Anna Pospisil. In 1855 she was married to Frank Stecher, and in 1870 they came to America and settled in Webster township, Dodge county, Nebraska. She was the mother of seven children, four sons and three daughters. The daughters are all dead. The sons are Joseph of Hooper, Alois of North Bend, Vincent C. of Dodge, and Frank of Kensal, North Dakota. Her husband died eleven years ago. The funeral took place last Saturday at St. Venceslaus' church and the body was laid to rest in St. Venceslaus' cemetery.
