Bio

Floy Griffin Jones was born probably in Van Zandt County since her family was there in 1910 although her parents were married in Kaufman County in 1904 and moved back there sometime before the 1920 census living near Rosser. She married Harry E. Jones July 3, 1925 in Kaufman County. By 1930 they were living in Dallas where they were enumerated on April 11 for the 1930 census. Harry said that he and both parents were born in Texas, he was 25 years old, and worked as an engineer in an ice plant. Floy died in Louisiana in 1937 and her body was returned to Texas and buried in the cemetery where her mother's parents are buried. Floy and Harry had a son named Olen E. listed with them in 1930 and he was three years old. In 1940 he is listed with her parents as a grand son and his age is 13.
