Sarah S McGill b abt. 1870 • Perdido, Baldwin County, Alabama, USA d 1 MAY 1889 • Perdido, Baldwin County, Alabama, USA m 4 Jan 1889 • Baldwin County, Alabama to John Randolph Weekley (1866-1910) NOTES: Patricia Ann McGill Barley (1936-2011) self-published in 2008 book "McGill Chronicle" She wrote the following information about Sarah S McGill on page 90: "Sarah is found on only one census, that of 1880 when she was 9 years old, living in the home of her parents. There are three or four sources for documentation of her marriage which took place when she was 19, but unfortunately, that was a short-lived union. Sarah and John were married in January and the "Alabama Death Register for 1886-1894" shows that Sarah died in May, just four short months after becoming a wife. The official record lists cause of death as"ascites" (excess fluid in the peritoneal cavity that can lead to several different disorders). "Family lore" tells that Sarah was injured in a wagon accident and subsequently died. According to the census of 1900. John was remarried to a woman named Emma and had one child. Other children were also born in this marriage. John died at the age 44 and is buried at Perdido Baptist Cemetery" ++++++++++++++++++++++++++
