Judy Kay Barnes, 69, of Hemphill, Texas passed away Friday, September 17, 2021 in Humble, Texas. Judy was born in Houston, Texas on July 24, 1952 to Charles Ray Banks and Bobbie Jean Langston Banks. She had lived in Houston for many years until moving to Sabine County in 2019. She worked as a medical billing specialist with Hospital Solutions before recently retiring. She enjoyed gardening, both flower and vegetable and she loved feeding and watching birds, particularly hummingbirds. But what she loved the most was spending time with her grandchildren. Judy is survived by her daughters, Stacey Martin and husband, Chris, of Humble and Shelley Carter and husband, Joel, of Houston; sister, Deborah Ann Oates and husband, Darrell, of Humble; grandchildren, Chase Fruge, Ty Martin, Kyle Hackett, Hayley Hackett, Hayden Martin, and Keaton Carter; and her great grandchildren, Braxton Fruge, Presleigh Martin, and Rowdy Cotten. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Ray Banks and Bobbie Jean Langston Banks; her brother, Terry Ray Banks and her great grandson, Aston Martin. Cremation arrangements were handled by Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill.
