Duncan Banner, Tues., May 27, 2008 Marlow - RUBIE 'RUBY' MAE LOYD, 86, of Marlow, Okla., died Saturday, May 24, 2008, in Marlow. Service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home Chapel. Condolences: www.callawaysmithcobb.com Funeral home obituary: RUBY MAE LOYD, 86, of Rush Springs, Okla., passed away Saturday, May 24, 2008, in Marlow. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs, with David Hale officiating. Burial will be in Rush Springs Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs. Rubie was born Thursday, June 9, 1921, in Boswell, Okla., to John William and Ora Frances Trusty Pelley. She attended school at Boswell. Rubie married Robert L. Loyd on Nov. 4, 1936. She moved to Rush Springs in 1964 from Shamrock, Texas. She enjoyed flowers and tomatoes. She loved to take care of her kids, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren. Rubie attended Assembly of God Church in Rush Springs. Survivors include seven sons, Victor Loyd and wife Kathy of Amarillo, Texas, Ernest Dean Loyd and wife Selma, Roy Lee Loyd and wife Lynn, and Robert Loyd Jr., all of Rush Springs, Jeary Don Loyd and wife Jeannie of Duncan, Darrell Wayne Loyd and wife Brondie of Weatherford, and Calvin Dale Loyd and wife Nikki of Marlow; four daughters, Wanda McLendon and husband Grayson of Fort Worth, Texas, Lillian Terry and husband Eddie of Amarillo, Patricia Weyrick and husband Bill, and Mary Frances Foster and husband Tommy, all of Rush Springs; 27 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; three sons, Marvin, Ervin, and Michael; five grandsons, William, Jermey, Timmy, Little Bill, and Robert; her parents; a sister, Lucille Norton; and three brothers, Robert Pelley, Ray Pelley and Johnny Pelley. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
