Bio

Ella M Wudel JULY 28, 1943 – OCTOBER 18, 2021 Ella Marie Mayne Wudel July 28, 1943 - October 18, 2021 Our loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend, Ella Marie Mayne Wudel passed away Monday October 18, 2021, at her home in West Haven. She was born July 28, 1943 in Bingham Canyon, Utah. Daughter of Joseph Hindley Mayne and Ivy Dorothy Christensen Mayne. When She was 3 her family moved to American Fork, where she gained her education and was a graduate of American Fork Highschool. Ella still has lifelong friends that keep in touch. After graduation, she married Gary E Foutin, and was blessed with 2 children that she cherished and loved very much. Her son John Scott Murrin and daughter Michelle Kathleen Johnson. Later she married Thomas Victor Murrin, who adopted her 2 children and loved them as his own and moved the family to Arkansas. After returning to American Fork, she spent many years working for Valtec Corporation while enjoying raising her children and being close to family and extended family. When her nest was empty, she met and was sealed to James Wudel (Jimba) and moved to Mesa, Arizona. Mom and Jim thoroughly enjoyed the warm climate, turning their patio into a relaxing garden spot, filling Jim's man cave with memorabilia and spending time eating out and going to shows. Mom also worked 20 years at Green Acres Mortuary as the secretary, this job she loved because she was able to be empathetic to those who needed a funeral service. Everyone said how this was the perfect job for her because of her compassion. She loved her years with Jim, entertaining family and created wonderful memories in Arizona. Mom loved to curl up in a blanket to crochet, knit or read for hours. Whenever you saw Mom she would have a book in her hand. Family and friends meant everything to her, and she loved to spend time with them. She would frequently travel back to Utah to be with her parents, sisters (Dalene, Gayla and Carol) and brother (Ken.) Mom loved her Savior and was an active endowed member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saint. She served in many callings but particularly loved the primary, being with the children and served as their president for many years. In her later years she enjoyed genealogy and attending the temple, being with her two children, Scott (Jenine) and Michelle (Brad) and their families. Mom is preceded in death by her parents, sister Dalene Smith, and husbands Gary, Tom and Jim. Ella leaves behind her siblings Gayla (Ron) Morrill, Carol (Garth) Croft and Kenneth (Karen) Mayne, her two children, seven grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. On behalf of the Family, we would like to say thank you, to Lotus Care Facility, where she always felt loved, and the employees loved our Mom and to Brio Hospice, especially Kyler, Christina and Kristi and Todd. They loved our Mom unconditionally and only wanted what was best for her. A special thanks to "Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary" for performing the funeral services. The viewing and funeral will take place at American Fork 7th Ward building on Saturday, October 30th. The viewing will be held from 9:30am-10:30am and funeral at 11am. Afterwards Mom will be laid to rest in the American Fork Cemetery next to her parents. Address for American Fork 7th ward building: 165 North 350 West, American Fork UT 84003.
