Early Life: Joseph was born May 3, 1914, in American Fork, Utah, to Joseph John and Marie Hindley Mayne. Life's Work/Service/Interests: He married the love of his life, Ivy Dorothy Christensen, on August 6, 1939. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She passed away February 8, 1999. Joseph Hindley Mayne passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2004, in the American Fork Hospital at age 90. Survived By: Their five children: Dalene, (Barth) Smith, Spanish Fork; Ella (Jim) Wudel, Mesa, AZ; Gayla (Rondall) Morrill, American Fork; Kenneth (Karen) Mayne, Highland; and Carol Fisher, St. George; 19 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; a brother, Doug Mayne; and sisters: Arlene Hanks and Edna Cox.
