Thomas "Tom" Gertsch, 72, of Lincoln, died on May 1, 2024. Mr. Gertsch was born August 17, 1951 to Lester & Marjorie (McGee) Gertsch in Lincoln. Tom worked as a cross country truck driver for over 20 years. The pride & joy in his life was his granddaughter, Alie. The last few years she has been his caretaker and made sure he made all his appointments. This forged a special bond that will never be forgotten. Tom also loved to tell stories and make people laugh. Preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Lola Gertsch; brother, Ted Gertsch. Survived by his wife, Dottie; sons, Todd (Kim) Gertsch, Joel (April) Gertsch; daughter, Jessica Washburn; brothers, James & Jerry Gertsch; grandchildren, nieces, cousins and extended family. A Celebration of Tom's Life will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home, 4040 A Street, Lincoln 68510.
