Bio
Chester Allison Dunbar age 100, of Coon Rapids, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2024. Born in Almeria Nebraska on February 17, 1924, to Chester and Rita Dunbar. Chester graduated from Taylor High School in 1944. World War II Army veteran having served in the Pacific Theater. He graduated from North Central Bible College in 1950. Chester accepted Christ as his personal Savior in May 1944. He held many church offices - mainly as a Sunday School teacher and on the deacon board. He also served many years as a volunteer for the Coon Rapids Senior Center as a van driver. Survived by loving wife of 71 years Marian, son, Martin (Diane), Grandsons, Joel, Mark, Neil, and David Truckenbrod, Lee Dunbar, and step-grandson, Ricky Flaten. Preceded in death by daughter Zelanda Truckenbrod and 10 siblings. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Washburn-McReavy Chapel 612-377-2203 washburn-mcreavy.com
