Bio

Wife of Edwin Wallace Killian, married Jan. 30, 1918. Services for Myrtle Marie Deal Killian, 97, of McKinney who died this morning at Pavilion Nursing Home will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of the Belew Funeral Home with the Rev. Roderick J. Corner officiating. Burial will be at Fitzhugh Cemetery at Forest Grove. Mrs. Killian was born May 9, 1899 in McKinney. She married Edwin Wallace Killian Jan. 30. 1918. At a very early age, she gave her life to God and accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was baptized by the Rev, A.H. (Abner) Snider pastor of the East McKinney Christian Church, arid remained a devout Christian until her death. She lived in the Gabriel H. Fitzhugh Homestead in the Forest Grove community with her husband and three children and reared her children in the Disciples of Christ Christian Church at Forest Grove. In 1936, she and her family moved to Melissa. They placed their membership in the Melissa Christian Church. She taught the women's School class and the Youth in Christian endeavor.
