Carole Mae Isaacson Cordner 1934 - 2024 On Monday, March 26, 2024, Carole Mae Isaacson Cordner, a loving mother of four adult children, passed away in her home in Taylorsville, Utah. She was eighty-nine on the day of her death. Carole was born on November 26, 1934, in Provo, Utah, the daughter of William Edward Isaacson and May Brown Isaacson. Carole grew up, along with her siblings, on the family farm on the east bench of Provo. Carole attended Lincoln High School. After high school, she married her high school boyfriend, Howard Tiffany Anderson, and they later divorced. They had three children: Karen, Jim, and Steve. In 1962, Carole met and married Blaine Cordner, the love of her life. Blaine had two children from a prior marriage, Richard and Susan. Together, Carole and Blaine raised Susan, Karen, Jim, and Steve. Carole's greatest joy was being a mother. When asked what she wanted to be growing up, she always said she wanted to be a mother. Although her children are now senior citizens, she continued to worry and mother them up to days before her passing. An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Carole served for years until her declining health prevented her from continuing her callings. Carole held the position of stake Young Women president. She loved the young women in her charge, and the young women loved her, too. Although Carole was not necessarily outdoorsy, she courageously oversaw and attended the annual Young Women Campout—more than once! Carole and her husband, Blaine, enjoyed researching genealogy, and they shared this enjoyment as a calling with members of their ward. In addition to her parents, Carole is predeceased by her husband, Blaine; two brothers, Merlin and Leon Isaacson; and her sister, Mary Arlene Isaacson Watkins. Carole is survived by her children: Susan (Steve) Barrett, Karen (Paul Hatfield) Cordner, James Howard (Janice) Cordner, and Steve (Kathy) Cordner; eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
