The Abilene Reporter-News, Thursday Evening, March 7, 1963, Page 37 - "I. L. Griffith Rites Today - BRECKENRIDGE - Services for Isaac Leslie (Doc) Griffith, 75, a one-time Stephens County commissioner, were to be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in the First Baptist Church here. -- Burial was to be in Moran Cemetery under direction of Melton Funeral Home. -- He died Wednesday in Stephens Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient since Feb. 16. A former employe(e) of Stephens County from 1932 until 1941, Mr. Griffith served as commissioner of Precinct 2. He was also a former school trustee. -- Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Miss Hazel Griffith of Breckenridge, Mrs. Gloria Duncan of San Antonio and Mrs. Tony Moore of Anson; two sons, John of Hobbs, N. M., and Jimmy Carson of Lubbock; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Three children preceded him in death." -------------------------
