Full name Hazel Brown Griffith (on her certificate of death) She never married. The Abilene Reporter News, 85TH YEAR, NO. 359, ABILENE, TEXAS, SATURDAY MORNING, JUNE 11, 1966 - BRECKENRIDGE - "Miss Hazel Griffith, 44, died at 6:35 p.m. Friday in Stephens Memorial Hospital. She had been a patient since May 28. --- Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Otis B. Testerman, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Moran Cemetery with Belton Funeral Home in charge. --- Born Oct. 3, 1921, in Moran, she came to Stephens County with her parents in 1923. Her father, the late I. L. (Doc) Griffith, was a Stephens County Commissioner for many years. He died in 1963. --- She is survived by her mother; two brothers, John of Eagle Pass and Jimmy of Lubbock; two sisters, Mrs. Gloria Cain of San Antonio and Mrs. Billy Moore of Anson."
