Florence M. Pustejovsky, 82, of West, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2008, in West. A rosary will be recited and Mass of Christian Burial celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with the Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Florence was born in West, Texas, to the late Arnold Sr. and Louise (Hykel) Hajek. She attended the Ross school and on Sept. 25, 1944, she was united in marriage to Alfons "Bob" Pustejovsky in West. Florence was a homemaker and a professional seamstress. She worked for several factories in the Waco area including, Wood's Manufacturing, Brown's Manufacturing, and the R.M. Crow Company for over 25 years before retiring in 1990. Florence enjoyed cooking and loved spending time with her family and taking care of her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West and former member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Waco. She was also a member of S.P.J.S.T. Lodge No. 66 in Waco. She is preceded in death by her husband on Sept. 23, 2005; brothers, Arnold Hajek, Jr., Ray Hajek, Jody Hajek, Albin Hajek and William Hajek. Survivors include sons, Robert W. Pustejovsky and wife, Joyce, David J. Pustejovsky and wife, Vicky, and Ralph A. Pustejovsky and wife, Debby, all of West; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Anna Kaska and husband, George, and Joan Holecek and husband, Ernest; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
