Bio

Rex T. Childress, 71, died Sunday, April 27, 2008. He was a native and lifelong resident of Loxley. Childress served in the U.S. Army. Survivors include his wife, Mary T. Childress of Loxley; two daughters, Lynn Bouressa of Navarre, Fla., and Leigh Childress of Silverhill; three sons, Dusty Childress of Robertsdale, Tom Childress of Central, S.C., and Matthew Childress of Loxley; a brother, Max Childress of Loxley; a sister, Brenda Harper of Robertsdale; and ten grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mack Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike White officiating and burial in Greenwood Cemetery in Loxley. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family suggests memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Arrangements are by Mack Funeral Home of Robertsdale.
