Janie Faye Dean Callen was born on June 18, 1942 in Durant, Oklahoma to Dennis and Mary Jane (Tipton) Dean. She passed from this life at the age of 81 on Monday, February 12, 2024 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas. Janie attended Coleman Public Schools and later married Jackie Lynn Callen on April 20, 1957 in Fillmore, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker until she began working at Milburn Public Schools for many years before retiring. Janie was a very active Baptist Church member. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and rocking all babies to sleep. Janie was a very loving woman and always chose to overlook the bad to see the good in everyone. Janie was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Callen Sr.; son, Steven Callen; parents, Dennis and Mary (Tipton) Dean; brothers, J.C. Dean and Delton Dean; sister, Manie Darter; step father, Frank Cole; granddaughter, Jennifer Callen; grandson, Tyler Callen; son in laws, Kenny Krebbs and Myrl Dilbeck; sister in law, Glenda Sullivan; brother in law, Leo (Jaybird) Callen. Those she leaves to cherish her beautiful memories are her children. Funeral services will be at the First Baptist Church in Milburn. Interment to follow at Bold Springs Cemetery in Milburn.
