Thelma Faye Sontag, 95, of Crosby, TX passed away on February 4, 2024. She was born on January 25, 1929 in Crosby to her parents Jessie and Ira Henson. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rudolph Sontag; her son, Arthur Sontag; her sisters, Bessie McGaffey, Christine Brown, Geraldine Marsh; and her brothers, Morris and Wilson Chandler. She is survived by her sons, Leon Sontag, Kenneth Sontag and his wife Elaine; her grandchildren Angela and her husband Robert Wilson, Leon Sontag Jr.,Lee Cardenas and husband Bradley, and Katie Nelson; her great grandchildren, Morgan, Hagan (Alan), Robert Majeski, Sergio Sontag (Hilliem), Krista Kersey (Jason), Ashlyn and Kylee Nelson, Quinton and Kingston Cardenas; her great-great grandchildren: Amelia, Alice, Trent, Hunter, Aliana, Leilani, and Keanu. She will also be greatly missed by her sister Francis Beard. Thelma was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister and friend. Thelma had a love of sewing, crocheting, and crafting. She was also an avid Houston Spirts fan, cheering on all of the Houston teams - the Astros, Texans and Rockets. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Visitations on Monday February 12 from 6 to 8 pm at Sterling-White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Road, Highlands Texas. The graveside service will be the next day at 11:30 at Sterling-White Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband Rudy.
