Daughter of Bird Payne Dyer [death certificate incorrectly has "Dyek"] and Elizabeth ("Betty") Fleming and obviously born in Ballard County, Kentucky - and not "Missouri" as given in her official death certificate. Apart from that information, all other info is mainly based on her entries in the various U.S. Federal Censuses from 1870 to 1940. In 1870, the family name was incorrectly spelled "Dyre". Her age was about "4/12 yrs" that time which roughly corresponds to her birthdate in her death certificate (although the transcription has "11/12 yrs"). All the other information in the 1870 census seems to be correct (parents, siblings). She married James Monroe Fox in Bell County, Texas, on March 27, 1887. In 1920, you can find her as a patient in the State Lunatic Asylum in Austin, Texas.
