WWI & MEXICAN REVOLUTION REGULAR RANGER Pvt. Co. G James Leslie Fox was born August 21, 1891, in Austin, Travis County, Texas, to James M. Fox and Addean Fox. James stood 6ft 1 1/2in. tall, had brown eyes, brown hair and a light complexion. He was married to Eulalie Fox after 1910. They had two daughters named Elizabeth and Grace. James was a peace officer. In 1910, he was a moving pictures operator in Austin. In 1917, he was a motorcycle policeman in Austin. He enlisted in the Texas Rangers as a REGULAR RANGER on September 30, 1920 thru November 4, 1920, as a Pvt in Headquarters Company, Emergency Co. No. 1. He resigned.In 1920, James was a truck driver, living in Austin. James Leslie Fox died June 17, 1969, in Travis County Texas. He was buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Austin, Travis County, Texas.
