Wife of General Stonewall Jackson Hamby, mother of 5, Ada, Thomas, Ellen, Annie and Nellouise. Exerpts from: Obituary Austin American Jan 6, 1959 Mrs. Louise (DYER)Hamby, Age: 86 From: Austin, TX. died in Clovis, New Mexico in the hospital on Monday. Pioneer resident of Austin, TX. Member of East Avenue Baptist Church. Husband G. S. Hamby and some of her preceeded her in death. Survivors: Daughter Mrs. A. L. Walker of Austin, one grandaughter, Mrs. Orlean Walker Gray of Clovis, one grandson and one great-grandaughter. The body will arrive in Austin Tuesday afternoon.
