Gladys Wright Gilley, 91, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2008, in Azle. Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Silver Creek United Methodist Church. Interment: Veal Station Cemetery. Visitation; 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at White's Funeral Home in Weatherford. Gladys was born Sept. 2, 1916, in Parker County to Claud and Fay Wright. She was a lifelong resident of Parker County. Gladys was an avid gardener, loved to cook and was a longtime member of Silver Creek United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe B Gilley; a sister, Louise Robinson; and three brothers, Denzil, Virgil and Waymon Wright. Survivors: Daughter, Lana Chance and husband, Roy, of Azle; granddaughters, Leanne Mathis and husband, Mike, of Weatherford and Laurie Smith and husband, James, of Azle; great-grandchildren, Brittany, Cristal, Luke and Joshua; sister, Vonnie Holmes and husband, Marshall, of Azle; and brothers, Norvin Wright and wife, Clara, of Weatherford and Harold Ray Wright and wife, Dot, of Weatherford.
