WED DEC. 15, 1934 Son of Homer Gilley and Eliza Emmagene Azle - Joe Bailey Gilley, 89, a dairy farmer, died Tuesday, July 8, 1997, at home. Funeral: 2 pm Thursday at Silver Creek United Methodist Church in Azle. Burial in Veal Station Cemetery. Joe Gilly was born May 10, 1908, in Parker County, Texas. He was married to Gladys Wright for 62 years. MR. Gilley was a longtime member of Silver Creek United Methodist Church, where he served as Sunday School Teacher for may years. Survivors: Wife, Gladys Gilley of Azle; daughter and son-in-law, Lana and Roy Chance of Azle; granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Leanne and Michael Mathis of Weatherford and Laurie and James Smith of Azle; and brother Ray Gilley of Aspermont. White's Funeral Home, Weatherford.
