Bio

Daniel J. Luther was born in La Crescent Minnesota, and was the last child in his family. He married in Dakota, Winona county, Minnesota in 1908 to Vida Virginia Wilson. They had six children, two of whom died young. Daniel worked in large construction, helping build the Moffat Tunnel in the Continental Divide, Colorado, the Oakland Bay Bridge at San Francisco Bay California, and various large dams through the Northwest as well as in California. He was a very generous person, and would give his last dime to someone who needed it worse than he.
