Son of Daniel J. and Vida Virginia Wilson Luther. He was born in Winona Minnesota and was the first of six children. Orland joined with his father at a young age to work large construction jobs through the west. From the Oakland Bay Bridge in San Francisco, to Bonneville dam in Oregon, to the ship yards in Bremerton Washington during WWII, Owyhee Dam in Oregon, and various other large construction jobs in the Northwest. Orland "Lute" was father to two daughters, for whom he set an awesome example of how to live life. Orland was a top-notch electrician, an excellent photographer, and even scratch built an eight inch telescope, hand grinding the lens and polishing it to perfection. Orland was adored by his family, who truly miss him.
