Bio

Alonzo Calvin Mills was born in Missouri and had lived in Henderson County since he was 18 years of age. He was a member of the Baptist Church and had lived in the LaRue area and the Willow Springs community most of his life. He was a retired farmer and stockman. He lived in Athens the past three years. He is survived by his wife; two sons, the Rev. Jack Mills and Hays Mills; six daughters, Mrs. J. J. Steele, Mrs. Joe McGee, Mrs. W. F. Dingler Mrs. Rayford Warren, Mrs. Charles Broussard, and Mrs. George Mundosa of Port Arthur; five brothers, Irvin Mills, Sr., Floyd Mills, Reuben Mills, Virgil Mills, and Noah Mills; two sisters, Mrs. Henry Jackson and Mrs. May Self; 21 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
