The Athens Daily Review, 1 Apr 1961, Athens, Tx Mrs. Jackson Passes Away Here Friday Mrs. Carrie Jackson, 77, of Athens passed away in a local hospital at 4:30 p.m., Friday, after a lengthy illness. She was born in Mauldin, Mo., March 20, 1884, and moved to Henderson County in 1901. She was married to Henry D. Jackson Jan. 17, 1911 in the Mill Run community and the couple lived in the Cross Roads community for a number of years before moving to Athens 38 years ago. Mrs. Jackson is survived by her husband, a son, Hershel Jackson of Athens; one daughter, Mrs. Leon Snowden of Athens; four brothers, Floyd and Rueben Mills of Athens, Noah Mills of Lub-bock, and Virgil Mills of Dallas, and 10 grand-children and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday in Carroll and Lehr Memory Chapel with the Rev. Bill Eads officiating,and burial will be in Athens City Cemetery.
