Don Wesley Beard July 17, 1937 — September 4, 2023 Gilmer Croley Funeral Home Don Wesley Beard, age 86, passed away on September 4, 2023. Don was born in Gilmer, TX to Ethward Beard and Carrie Beard. He was preceded in death by Jennie Beard (wife), Ethward and Carrie Beard (parents), Don Beard Jr. (son) and Shellie Hughes (daughter). Don is survived by his brother Kenneth Beard (Claranell), sister Shirley Morris, 8 grandchildren, Amy Gregory, Ruben Gomez Jr., Kiley Beard, Jeffrey Beard, Kyle Beard, Savannah Anderson, Sierra Vickers, Corey Vickers and 9 great grandchildren. Services for Don Beard will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Hopewell United Methodist Church with Reverend Matthew Smith officiating.
