Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Coker-Mathews Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Renfro officiating. Burial will be in VanSickle Cemetery. She was born March 24, 1894 in Farmersville, the daughter of Jim Bybee. She was married to Marvin Stapleton in 1927 in Greenville. They moved from Greenville to Pampa in 1928 and owned and operated the Pampa News Stands for 15 years. Mrs. Stapleton was a Baptist and a member of the Royal Neighbors and the Rebekah Lodge of Pampa. Surviving are her husband of Pampa; son, Thurman Stapleton of Pampa; daughter, Opal Kingsbury of Dallas; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
