Estelle "Esther" Vrana, 87, of West, passed away early Wednesday afternoon, April 2, 2008, at West Rest Haven. Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Fatima Cemetery near Abbott, with Dennis Adair officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Aderhold Funeral Home. Esther was born in West, Texas, to the late Anton and Ludmila "Lillie" (Hodanek) Pavlas. She attended school in Abbott. On February 28, 1941, she was united in marriage to Edwin August Vrana in Abbott. She was co-owner and operator of the Circleburger in West for several years. She also worked as a seamstress for Lorch Manufacturing in West and Fleetwood Mobile Homes in Waco until her retirement in 1989. Esther loved cooking for her family, gardening and was known as a hard worker. She was an avid soap opera watcher, especially the "Young and the Restless" and "The Bold and The Beautiful". She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. She is preceded in death by brother, Alfred Pavlas and infant brother, John Joe Pavlas. Survivors include her beloved husband, Edwin Vrana, of West; sons, Larry Vrana and wife, Gayle, of Dallas and Gary Vrana and wife, Terri, of West; daughter, Pat Seace and husband, William, of Irving; sisters, Edna Sharp, of Bellmead, Maxine Bonge and husband, Herb, of Clifton and Dorothy Zahirniak, of West; grandchildren, Kirk Seace and wife, Susie, Michael Vrana, Matthew and Caitlin Vrana; great-grandchild, Kadence Vrana; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
