Brown Funeral Home (Martinsburg WV) Obituary: Frank Joe Spacek, Jr., Colonel, US Army, Ret., 92, of Martinsburg, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Homewood at Williamsport. Born on January 23, 1923 in Granger, TX, he was the son of the late Frank Joe and Hermina Martinets Spacek. He was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church. He was a retired U. S. Army officer. He is survived by son Frank J. Spacek, III (wife, Janie) of Winchester, VA; two grandchildren, Patrick J. Spacek, of Jacksonville, FL and Kristina M. Spacek-Spivey (husband, Scott) of Chester, Virginia; one great-grandson, Tohrin Blaise Spivey of Chester, Virginia; Patty Spacek, Prince George, VA, and his faithful caregiver, Katherine Bailey of Martinsburg, WV. He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Margaret Faye Buchanan Spacek; and a brother, Calvin E. Spacek. Family will receive friends on Monday, April 20, 2015 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at the Brown Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the funeral home with Rev. Robert Brennan officiating. Military graveside service will be held in Pleasant View Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Calvary United Methodist Church Stained Glass Window Replacement Fund, 220 W. Burke Street, Martinsburg, WV 25401.
