Bio

Son of Joseph & Lillian (Suchanek) Petska. Married to Angelina Wachtrle on 6-3-1941. Together they lived on a farm north of Ord until 1943, when they moved first to a farm near North Loup and later to a farm near Ord, which Eugene and Angelina purchased in 1974. Together, they farmed and raised registered Hereford cattle. Active in 4-H, Eugene was a 4-H leader for 15 years. He was elected chairman of the Valley County extension board for two terms and was nominated to join the Nebraska Agricultural Extension State Advisory Committee for a three-year term. He also served on the FHA Advisory Board for two terms.
