Published in the Ord Quiz, Ord, Nebraska Angelina Petska, Ord Resident, 79 Angelina Petska, 79 of Ord died Wednesday, April 24, 2002 at the Valley County Nursing Home in Ord. Funeral services were held 2 pm Saturday, April 27 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Ord. Burial was in the Ord Catholic Cemetery. Mrs. Petska was born January 21, 1923 in Ord to James and Agnes (Erben) Wachtrle. They lived in the eastern part of Ord. At age eight she began playing the piano and also the bassoon. She continued her love of music and singing through her entire life. She was a 1940 graduate of Ord High School. After graduating she worked for a local Ord dentist, Dr. Blessing. On June 3, 1941 she married Eugene Petska at Ord. The couple farmed southeast of Ord. She has resided at the Valley County Nursing Home in Ord since February of 2002 where she enjoyed playing the keyboard. Survivors include her husband, Eugene of Ord; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Darrell and Stephanie Petska of Middleton, WI, Bernard and DeEtta Petska and Mike Petska, all of Ord; two daughter, Sharon Kreimer and her husband, Dell Darling of Lincoln and Connie Petska and her partner, Don Tremain of Dallas, TX; and 13 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Shirley; one granddaughter, Moriah Petska; one grandson, James Petska and one brother, Eldon. Contributor: Kathy Burr (47226369)
