Bio

Edwin E. Shoemaker, 78, former Farmersville postmaster, died at his Farmersville home last night after a short illness. Mr. Shoemaker was a native of Breckinridge, Ky. He came to California in 1901 and to Farmersville a year later, and made his home there until his death. He served as postmaster for Farmersville for several years. He is survived by one brother, Jesse Shoemaker, Farmersville; a niece, Miss N.M. Grant, Visalia; a nephew, Huet Grant, Visalia, and several nieces and nephews residing in Los Angeles. Burial in Visalia Cemetery near his wife, Margaret, who died in 1949. Visalia Times-Delta Dec 5 1951
