Billie Mack "Bill" Arrington, age 80, died May 15, 2019 at his home in Gunter, Texas . He was born April 8, 1939 in Sherman, Texas, the son of Floyd and Raye Allie Arrington. He and Dawn Aloha were married June 4, 1959 in Sherman, Texas. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Viva Brinlee, Louise Cunningham and Isabel Cunningham; and a brother, Floyd Arrington. Bill is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dawn; three sons, Tim (and Shirley) Arrington of Gunter, Billy Dean (and Dara) Arrington of Gunter, and Rusty (and Rhonda) Arrington of Gunter; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous loving nephews and nieces. He served in the U.S. Navy from June 2, 1957- February 9, 1976 and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired as a Chief Petty Officer. He worked at Texas Instruments for 20 years and Hilltop Haven for many years, as well. He was a deacon of First Baptist Church of Gunter. The Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Friday, May 17, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Gunter The Funeral Service will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 18, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Gunter, officiated by Brother Scott Jordan and Brother Rick Ballard. Burial at Gunter Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Scoggins Funeral Home, Van Alstyne, Texas.
