Bio

Mrs. Pearl Hartsfield, 83, of 625 Short Stonewall, died Wednesday at McAlester Regional Hospital. Mrs. Hartsfield were married on Aug. 6, 1919 at Ulan. At the age of 16 she moved from Texas to Oklahoma. She attended the Arpelar Nazarene Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1973 and a sister, Grace Henson on Jan. 19, 1987. She is survived by two sons, Leroy Hartsfield of Tucson, Ariz. and Terrill Hartsfield of Haywood; five daughters, Mary Small, Minnie Turnbow, Cora Christmas, Novella Kemp, all of McAlester and Wilma Wilson of Nacogdoches, Tex.; a brother, Walter Mantooth , McAlester, a sister, Ruby Crosswell, Canadian, 30 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Arpelar Nazarene Church with Rev. Harry Lee officiating. Burial will be at Arpelar cemetery under the direction of Mills Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Gene Stewart, Charles Christian, Earl Folsom, Buck Jones, Glen Jones and Sid Tolbert. Honoraries: Tommy Taylor, Tom Logan and Arthur Parks.
