Delia Maude Janicek, age 77, passed away September 9, 2007, at Mercy Hospital. Delia was born January 31, 1930, in Council Bluffs, to Lehi and Fannie (Ballard) Ellison. Delia was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon Janicek, Sr. (2000); parents; sister, Minnie Witt and two brothers. Delia will be sadly missed by her children, Eldon Janicek, Jr. and wife, Dori, Connie Griffin and husband, John, Nancy Thomas and husband, Jerry, Brenda Clyde and husband, Louis; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sister, Mary Grund, host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m at Maher-Livingston Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Gary Hollers officiating. Interment to follow at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Council Bluffs. Memorials may be directed to the family.
