Nancy K. Thomas, age 69, of Crescent, Iowa passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at her home, with her family by her side. Nancy was born on June 10, 1952 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to the late Eldon and Delia (Ellison) Janicek. She married Jerry L. Thomas on March 16, 1973. Nancy worked as a Secretary for Kutak Rock Law Office for 26 years and Gallner and Pattermann Law Office for 6 years, retiring in 2008. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Jerry Thomas Jr. in 1978; Jeff Thomas in 1979; grandson, Camden Simmons in 2006. Survivors include her husband, Jerry Thomas of Crescent, Iowa; daughter, Kari and Rob Simmons of Avoca; 2 grandsons, Derek Simmons and Will Simmons of Avoca; sisters, Connie and John Griffin of Council Bluffs; Brenda Janicek of Omaha; brother, Eldon Janicek Jr. Visitation with family on Thursday from 5:00 – 7:00PM at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral Service on Friday at 1:00PM at the Funeral Home. Burial at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials to St. Jude Hospital for Children.
