+ Tommy F. Martin Tommy F. Martin, 88, of Parma, died Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002, in Parma. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 22, 2002, at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Interment will follow in the Parma Cemetery. Tommy was born Feb. 20, 1914, in Purdum County, Neb., the oldest of 10 children born to Freddie and Ila Parker Martin. He was reared and educated in Nebraska, and moved to Idaho in the spring of 1939. He married Beatrice O. Johnson on Sept. 23, 1939, in Parma. Tommy farmed and was a supervisor for the Parma-Notus Highway District until his retirement. He enjoyed horses and hunting. He is survived by four children and their spouses, Barbara and Dale Collins of Caldwell; Judith and Dennis Hurtt of Carlsbad, N.M.; Johnson T. and Janet Martin of Parma; and Theresa and Kenneth Scaggs of Caldwell; a brother, Paul Martin of Parma; sisters, Hannah Allen of Nampa, Freda Thompson of Shasta Lake, Calif., Lois Cone and Naomi Campbell, both of Parma, and Kathleen Anderson of Ft. Fraser, B.C. Canada; seven grandchildren, Tom Collins, Deborah Swanson, Kevin Hurtt, Michael Hurtt, Lori Covey, Todd Martin and Kendra Winters; nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, in February of 2002, a brother, Ivan Martin, and two sisters, Della Benedict and Opal Patchin. Idaho Free Press (Nampa, Idaho) November 21, 2002
