Bio
Patricia June Cable, 93, of McAlester, died Sunday, December 18, 2022 at her home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Bishop Chapel of Memories with Bryan Coleman officiating. Burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brett Cable, Devon Chen, Heath Coleman, Kyle Coleman, and Paul Caldwell. Patricia was born to Cecil Kenneth McAlpine and Pauline Elizabeth McAlpine on July 1, 1929 in Muskogee. She attended McAlester High School for her secondary education. She met the love of her life, Lowell Cable, and they were married on August 15, 1946 in McAlester. Patricia enjoyed planting and growing a large garden each spring. She also cultivated a large variety of flowers and enjoyed their beauty. She spent her time crafting and developed a skill for painting. She was introduced to antiques, and spent many years collecting and finding "treasures" with her husband. She is preceded in death by her parents: Cecil and Pauline McAlpine; husband: Lowell Walter Cable; son: Kenneth "Kenny" Russell Cable; brother: William "Billy" McAlpine; and grandparents: Arthur Wesley and Very Weigand, Bill McAlpine and Ollie Powers. Patricia is survived by her son: Lowell W. Cable Jr. "Buddy" and wife, Jeneice; daughter: Sandra June Coleman and husband, Bryan; sister: Margaret Jane Moody; grandchildren: Brett Daniel Cable and wife, Amy of McAlester, Heath Bryan Coleman and wife, Holly of Jenks, Kyle Garrett Coleman and wife, Maddisen of Jenks, Melinda Caldwell Liles and husband, James of Memphis, Paul Kenneth Caldwell and wife, Jennifer of Tennessee, and Devon and Jia Sing Chen; great-grandchildren: Madeleine, Cecily and Callum Cable, Isaac, Anna, and Iris Coleman, Everett, Elliott and Eli Coleman, Elston and Becket Liles, McKynlie and Jackson Caldwell; great-great-grandchild: Katherine Rose Caldwell; cousin: Dorothy Heinicke and husband, Dale; nephew: Tim Moody; and nieces: Patricia Whitney and husband, Nathan, Janice Sanders, and Charla Faye Carter Harrison.
