Bio

Amanda L. (Bobo) Medeiros, 75, of Zullinger, PA, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2022 in Chambersburg Hospital. Born March 2, 1947 in Gettysburg, PA, she was the daughter of the late Seymour Jackson "S.J." Bobo and Kathleen (Kuykendall) Bobo Arentz. Amanda attended Hagerstown Junior College and later received her nursing certificate from Horry Georgetown Technical School in South Carolina. She and her husband, the late Mr. Arthur G. Medeiros, were married March 2, 1977 in Hagerstown, MD. They were together for 42 years when he passed away April 21, 2019. Amanda was a homemaker who enjoyed doing crafts, gardening, going camping and spending time with the children and great-grandchildren. She is survived by four children, Edward L. Harbaugh of Waynesboro, Kathleen M. Dieugenio, Chambersburg, Cheryl L. Todd of Greencastle and Mindy S. Bowers of Fayetteville, PA; step-daughter, Kimberly A. Otten of SC; 20 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Shirley A. Wilkinson of West Virginia, Charity V. Harbaugh of Fairfield, PA and Rosalie C. Parsons of Hanover, PA; and a number of nieces and nephews. She also parented many foster children in South Carolina during her lifetime. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Timothy W. Harbaugh; and daughter, Niki R. Summers. A Celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 27, 2022 in Upton Community Center, 8978 Kuhn Road, Greencastle. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church of one's choice or SpiriTrust Lutheran Homecare and Hospice, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17202. Arrangements are by Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro.
