Bio
Lillian Thomas Brock, 88, of Arlington, Texas passed away peacefully Saturday, October 8, 2022, surrounded by family and caretakers at Aviva Granbury. Lillian was born January 20, 1934, to Archie and Virginia Tackett in Kaufman, Texas. Lillian grew up in Kaufman, graduated from Kaufman High School and then married Stanley K. Brock on May 3, 1952. After Stan's deployment to Korea in the Air Force, the couple then moved to Arlington where they were both longtime residents. Lillian was an active member of both Northside Baptist Church and Lamar Baptist Church in Arlington, volunteering her time to meet the churches' needs. Lillian volunteered many service hours throughout her life within her community. She worked as a paraprofessional for the Arlington ISD for over 15 years, where she made many lifelong friends. Lillian is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Bill and Pete Tackett, and her son-in-law, Joseph Garza. She is survived by her three girls, Gail Morgan and husband Tommy of San Marcos, TX, Lu Nell Garza of Spring Branch, TX, and Carol Cox and husband Bart of Granbury, TX, her first cousin, Nan Ray of Kaufman who was always a sister to Lillian, her 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends who will all miss her greatly. Services will be held Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at Lamar Baptist Church, 1000 W. Lamar Blvd., Arlington, TX at 11:00 AM with visitation one hour preceding. Burial to follow at Moore Memorial Gardens.
