Mary Nancy Owensby/Ownbey was born to William Owensby/Ownbey and Sarah "Sally" Brown. Enoch Ruff was about twenty-four when he married Nancy Owensby about 1827 in North Carolina. The 1830 census revealed they were living in Rutherford County, North Carolina. Household members: Enoch (20-29), Nancy (20-29), two males (under 5).
