Services for Ida Merle Turman Davis, 87, Tyler will be held on Monday, August 29, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Stewart Family Funeral Home with Dr. David O. Dykes officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. The family will have a private burial under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home. Mrs. Davis passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022 in Tyler. She was born June 27, 1935 in Gilmer to Charlie Bright Turman and Annie Monk Turman. She graduated from East Mountain High School where she was voted Senior Class Beauty, was on the Pep Squad, and played volleyball. She served as Miss East Mountain and the Yam Princess. Ida was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Annie Turman; son, Toby Davis, Jr.; and sister, Patty Parsons. She is survived by her loving family including her husband, Toby G. Davis of Tyler; son, Chuck Davis of Frankston; daughters, Linda Davis Pye and husband, Allen of McKinney and Barbara Davis Westbrooks of Chandler; 5 grandchildren, Karey Pye Aldaco, Katie Pye McLain, Kristi Westbrooks Torres, Marc Westbrooks and Erica Davis Cummings; 7 great-grandchildren; siblings, Charles Keith Turman and wife, Marie, Billy Max Turman and wife, Alice, Norma Ruth Turman Barrett and Angie Turman Capps and husband, Terry. Pallbearers will be Raymond Aldaco, Kirby McLain, Marc Westbrooks, Bruce Monk, Alan Turman, and Cameron Johnson.
